Who: All Yamhill County Providers, or anyone interested in sharing and receiving information about the services in the community
What: Email group
211’s “yamhill_providers” listserve makes it possible for members to send information to everyone in the listserv by addressing their message to one email address.  For example, if a member is unable to find a resource for a client, they can send an email message to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Shortly everyone on the list will know of their need and can respond if they know of a provider that can help.  In addition, it can be used to inform others of upcoming trainings, program or service changes, special requests or position openings.

Community Compassion Brown Baggers
Who: Front-line service providers, or anyone who is working to meet the needs in the community.
What: Weekly meeting to discuss resources and needs in the community.
Meeting together on a regular basis allows for an informal conversation about community needs and resources and provides a space to share concerns and frustrations that arise from working with those who are in need.  Since the work of many of those who attend is inspired by a commitment to faith, there is a prayer at the end of each meeting.  However, the group is very welcoming of non- faith-based providers who are also working to address needs in the community.
When: Mondays from 12:30 – 1:30

Hispanic Advisory Council
Who: Any community partner who works with and/or is interested in empowering the Latino community.  Current members include: Housing Authority, Chemekeda, Public Library, CCF, OSU extension program, 4H, DHS
What: The objectives of the council are to share information about events, resources, and programs, and to find ways to be more inclusive of the Latino population.  The council also seeks to empower the Latino community to be leaders and resources in Yamhill County. 
When: 10-12, 2nd Thursday of the month

Early Childhood Coordinating Council
Who: Anyone involved with children ages 0-8
What: Monthly meeting to share information about early childhood programs and to work strategically to improve the early childhood system.
Meetings focus on the needs of children ages 0-8.  Half of the meeting is about networking and sharing information about programs and the other half is working strategically to improve the early childhood system.  The Council also acts as an advisory for Healthy Start and the Local Interagency Coordinating Council.
When: The first Tuesday of every month, 1-3pm

Prevention Coalition
Who: Anyone in the community (business partners, county workers) who are interested in preventing juvenile crime and substance abuse
What: An anti-drug coalition representing the diverse populations, interests, service sectors and geographic areas within Yamhill County.  The coalition employs a broad continuum of strategies to reduce and prevent substance abuse and delinquency in Yamhill County.
When: Third Wednesday of every month at 3:00

Suicide Prevention Coalition
Who: Any community member that is interested in preventing suicide.
What: Working together to raise awareness, increase effective intervention, and educate the community about suicide prevention.
• Awareness – increasing community knowledge about depression, suicide risk and protection, skills for responding and community resources
• Intervention – providing trainings to school faculty, parents, clergy, medical and social services staff, etc.  Gatekeeper trainings are offered to anyone interested in risk factor recognition and effective intervention with suicidal individuals.
• Youth Education – distributing evidence-based suicide prevention curricula in Yamhill County Schools
When: Quarterly; generally the second Wednesday of April, June, September and December

Fostering Hope
Who: Any community partner—particularly those whose services have an impact in the Sue Buel school boundary (the neighborhood between Ford and Davis extending from Booth Bend road).
What: An initiative to build a neighborhood-based system of family support strong enough to reduce the need for foster care by 50% by 2020.  Initiatives include: parenting education and support groups, home visits, wrap-around supports such as physical and mental health, addiction services, and assistance to meet basic needs, access affordable housing, and secure meaningful employment.
When: Last Wednesday of the month at noon (free lunch provided for partners); task-force meetings
