Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement of Principle
United Way strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion, we are learning and evolving toward diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of our work. As such, we denounce all forms of discrimination based on age, race, national origin, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, pregnancy, veteran status, or social status. We respect, value, and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics, and perspectives that make each person who they are and therefore, believe that as a nation, state, community, and network of providers, we will begin to reach our greatest potential when we see, listen, and honor the contributions of individuals who are marginalized by any form of discrimination. We must actively work to fully comprehend and address both the current and historical roots that drive these unjustified distinctions that directly result in barriers to thriving throughout our country as well as here in our community.
